This short film was shot in one afternoon, for the main purpose of understanding how continuity works when filming. Once handed the task, our class got into different groups. My group consisted of me, Haran Timana, Chris Dean, Hannah Sones and Sam Pearson. This picture shows our three ideas:
After much debate we chose to go ahead with idea 2 which is about two detectives pursuing a criminal and the exchange in dialogue would come from the two detectives. The theme to our film was to give off an impression that it is set in the 1940s from the way me and Haran were dressed. Very kindly our teacher gave us permission to use his car for filming as it was an old fashioned jaguar. We also got permission off the school janitor to film in the boiler room as it was a perfect scene to film our cliffhanger ending.
However, viewing our final product we noticed that 12 seconds into the video it shows me getting out of the car on the right, but later on I'm running on the right hand side. This is a simple mistake, but it also ensures us to be more careful when filming different projects in the future.
